Hope Scarves

About Hope Scarves

Hope Scarves is an international non-profit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky. Our mission is to support people facing cancer through scarves, stories, and research.  Since our founding in 2012, we’ve grown exponentially and have affectionately become known as “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Scarves.”

We collect scarves from around the world and stories from cancer survivors and pair them together to spread hope to others in treatment.  They are the tangible reminders there is light in the world.                    They are our “now.”

In addition to scarves and stories, Hope Scarves has established a Metastatic Breast Cancer Research Fund to support cutting edge researchers and clinical trials around the country.  The research is the push for change, and it is our “future.”  Research is key for improved treatment options and outcomes.

End Well

End Well is a nonprofit dedicated to the belief that all people should experience the end of life in a way that matches their values and goals. When faced with issues of mortality, we often suffer needlessly for a variety of reasons, from cultural and clinical to matters of access.

We bring together a community that unites design, technology, health, policy, and activist initiatives to transform how the world thinks about caregiving, grief, illness and the end of life experience with the ultimate goal of creating a future where ending well becomes a measure of living well.

Universality

We value the wide range of human experiences, perspectives, and identities as essential to deep understanding, meaningful connection, and collective progress.

Radical Bravery

We bring curiosity and creativity in our search for authentic solutions to serve the betterment of society.

Excellence

We bring love, humility, honesty, and excellence to all of our endeavors.

Impact

Beginning with ourselves, we strive to constantly grow and bring transformative impact to as many people as possible.

HOW: Every end-of-life story we have the privilege to hear reveals more ways we can live well during this rich last phase. The more possibilities that exist, the more choices we have about how to leave this world with the dignity, love, and joy every one of us deserves.

Project Angel Heart

What we bring to the table

Project Angel Heart was founded more than 30 years ago to address a major challenge for Coloradans who are severely ill: getting the nutrition they need to get stronger, heal, and remain at home. Many are too sick to get to the grocery store and unable to cook for themselves. Others find they have to choose whether to buy food or medication to make ends meet.
That’s why Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers medically tailored meals to people living with severe illnesses. Each week, our professional chefs and registered dietitians prepare thousands of delicious meals from scratch, and tailor them to meet the specific medical and dietary needs of those who are ill. Volunteers help us package and deliver each meal at no cost to our clients.

Sites and Insights

About Us

Sites and Insights transforms lives using color, art and mindful healing programs. Therapeutic Art provides an innovative way to express fear, anxiety and grief. As a result, it provides a unique way to help process this life-changing experience.  Living with the stress, anxiety and fear inhibits the healing process. Therefore, it is critical to have a way to process those complicated emotions.

Sites and Insights has a one-of-a-kind, award winning, innovative curriculum.  The curriculum is proven to help those impacted by cancer by providing a way to heal the emotional trauma by creating a sense of hope, peace, joy and empowerment.  Sites and Insights is a community of Family and participants are not alone. They have a safe way to express their feelings when the words have been previously too hard to verbalize.

Tuned-In Productions with Molly Lord

WHEN MUSIC MEETS MIND

Music is like a stage on which the basic behavior patterns that underlie the human experience are played out.  When certain songs evoke certain emotions or moods, you are accessing your mind’s inner guides called ARCHETYPES.  Just as they aided your ancestors since the dawn of humankind, they now support you.

When chosen well, music can guide our psyche to become ordered, connected, and more able to proficiently achieve an emotional, spiritual, or physical desire.

Workshops with Molly Lord explore many such archetypes:  Orphan, Seeker, Warrior, Altruist, Innocent, Magician,  Ruler, Jester, Creator, Teacher, the Lover and others, along with how and why they are evoked by music.

The answers uncovered remind us that our favorite playlists hold healing medicine beyond what we ever imagined.

Join us for a fun dive into this pharmaceutical music mystery.

Mayfield Counseling

MISSION

Mayfield Counseling Centers partners authentically to restore relationships, change lives, and discover hope for individuals, couples, and families.

VISION

The vision for Mayfield Counseling Centers was born in an unexpected way. By 2014, founder Mark Mayfield had been in the counseling field for four years. As a couple, Mark and Sarah had become embedded in the counseling culture and grew to love  the intensity of all there was to learn. During that time, Sarah realized her need for a mentally healthy lifestyle and began the journey of finding a counselor who would be the right fit for her personal counseling needs.

Mark and Sarah researched many local counselors, and Sarah expectantly made multiple calls.  However, she received no response.  After a two-week waiting period, Sarah finally received a single call. This frustrating progression of events sparked a question, “What is the current quality and accessibility of counseling in Colorado Springs?” If Sarah’s experience was typical, then many more people seeking mental health support must be experiencing similar angst. We  wanted to respond to the need we saw before – and within – us.

Mark and Sarah felt called to fill the need  for easy access to quality, client-centered counseling.  Our belief is that every client should have access to a counseling experience that is combined with high standards of excellence and holistic care.
