Hope Scarves
About Hope Scarves
Hope Scarves is an international non-profit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky. Our mission is to support people facing cancer through scarves, stories, and research. Since our founding in 2012, we’ve grown exponentially and have affectionately become known as “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Scarves.”
We collect scarves from around the world and stories from cancer survivors and pair them together to spread hope to others in treatment. They are the tangible reminders there is light in the world. They are our “now.”
In addition to scarves and stories, Hope Scarves has established a Metastatic Breast Cancer Research Fund to support cutting edge researchers and clinical trials around the country. The research is the push for change, and it is our “future.” Research is key for improved treatment options and outcomes.
LifeSpark Mission Statement
LifeSpark Cancer Resources is a non-profit volunteer service organization that uses Reiki and Healing Touch therapies to bring peace and healing to cancer patients and their caregivers. LifeSpark serves individuals with cancer and the oncology medical community through education, training, advocacy, and delivery of hands-on and remote sessions. Our core values include compassion, integrity, service, professionalism, and respect.”

Sites and Insights transforms lives using color, art and mindful healing programs. Therapeutic Art provides an innovative way to express fear, anxiety and grief. As a result, it provides a unique way to help process this life-changing experience. Living with the stress, anxiety and fear inhibits the healing process. Therefore, it is critical to have a way to process those complicated emotions.
Sites and Insights has a one-of-a-kind, award winning, innovative curriculum. The curriculum is proven to help those impacted by cancer by providing a way to heal the emotional trauma by creating a sense of hope, peace, joy and empowerment. Sites and Insights is a community of Family and participants are not alone. They have a safe way to express their feelings when the words have been previously too hard to verbalize.

WHEN MUSIC MEETS MIND
Music is like a stage on which the basic behavior patterns that underlie the human experience are played out. When certain songs evoke certain emotions or moods, you are accessing your mind’s inner guides called ARCHETYPES. Just as they aided your ancestors since the dawn of humankind, they now support you.
When chosen well, music can guide our psyche to become ordered, connected, and more able to proficiently achieve an emotional, spiritual, or physical desire.
Workshops with Molly Lord explore many such archetypes: Orphan, Seeker, Warrior, Altruist, Innocent, Magician, Ruler, Jester, Creator, Teacher, the Lover and others, along with how and why they are evoked by music.
The answers uncovered remind us that our favorite playlists hold healing medicine beyond what we ever imagined.

April Guest Speaker Cheryl Sandridge
Practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu, a Japanese Healing Art
Meet Cheryl Sandridge, she joined the professional healing arts community in 1990 when she graduated from the London School of Sports Massage. After enjoying practicing this art for 17 years in all of it's applications from triathlons to chiropractic offices, spas, gyms and home visits, she began to focus on more energetic forms of healing and finally came home to rest with Jin Shin Jyutsu, a Japanese Healing Art which she has been practicing since 2013. She finds find integrating her esoteric knowledge with self- help guided Jin Shin Jyutsu meditations to be a great way to work with many people at once. Her most memorable large group was an auditorium filled with Nepalese high school students six months after the earthquake. What a great harmonic sharing experience! No matter what size group however, the perfect alchemy always manifests. Cheryl is in good standing with Jin Shin Jyutsu Inc. and ABMP.
Artist's Statement
As an almost daily practitioner of this Healing Art, I believe in it's beauty, simplicity and empowering self-authority, how it can transform and transmute problems into projects and I believe it's premise that what Man/Woman can create in a lifetime, Creator can undo in one breath. I'm excited to be sharing this healing art in such a safe and curated environment and am grateful for this collaborative opportunity. Sharing these empowering tools in one's own hands is always win-win!.
Cheryl will be combining guided visual imagery with hand placements. Included in this personalized session will be adapting to Spring, self-empowerment, reproductive health and more. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring some curiosity!
